Wow, fantastic job! I really loved the lighting work — it sets such a captivating mood. Special shout-out to the sound design too: the footsteps, the block sounds… just excellent, really immersive! š§
To push the immersion even further, Iād suggest maybe adding some background ambiance music, weapon sound effects during attacks (gotta love that "sweesh" š„), and perhaps a variety of enemies with different attack patterns. A damage shader when taking hits could also make the combat feel even more intense.
Honestly, pulling off a game of this quality in such a short amount of time is incredibly impressive. Huge congrats to you! šš„
A very fun and bright looking game. I love the visual and sound cues, and also the general atmosphere of the game.
The character also is very smooth to control, which is always a good thing.
I also want to point out something:
1/ The game lack visual cue of what is happening. I didn't feel like hitting a person at all, or if I was blocking an attack. It lacks the omph in every normal fighting games.
2/ The combat lacks mechanical depth, the rolling didn't do anything much and most of the time I try to hits and then block the enemy. You can, for example, add a delay after having successfully block the enemy, that will create more depth
